Job Description Position title : Safety Engineer Location : Ghent, Belgium Targeted starting date : September, 1st 2026 (or earlier if possible) Duration : 24 months You will become part of the Operations team and will get in touch with a wide range of production processes. As Junior Safety Engineer, you will support the Safety coordinator and Technical Director to achieve some main objectives. You will be responsible for: Support the LOTOTO project. Conduct NOISE study (measurements in all departments) Updating factory safety signs in collaboration with the departments Updating the internal emergency plan (fire safety signage, emergency exits, escape routes) Convert internal emergency plan to Visio Prepare overview of fire detection and training Some administrative tasks (Planning medical examinations, follow up of the safety action list, support organization safety day...) Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Bac+3/4/5 equivalent) in Engineering or a related technical field. Specialization in Safety, Risk Management, or a related discipline is a plus. Professional safety certifications are a plus. Fluent English is mandatory French and/or Dutch would be a plus Required Skills Good knowledge of Office 365 (Excel, Powerpoint, PowerBI, Word...) Be flexible, independent and enthusiastic. Hands-on mentality. Strong interest in lean/manufacturing processes and eager to learn.
