Description
Main Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, project standards, and international railway construction safety norms. Conduct risk assessments and safety audits across civil works, rail infrastructure, and construction sites. Develop, implement, and monitor safety procedures, emergency response plans, and accident prevention programs. Supervise site safety officers and contractors to ensure adherence to safety standards. Deliver safety induction training and toolbox talks for multinational workforce. Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Maintain proper documentation for regulatory compliance and client reporting. Coordinate with engineering, construction, and quality teams to integrate safety into all project phases. Support safety culture awareness and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent) with specialization or certification in HSE / Safety Engineering. Minimum 5–7 years of experience in construction safety management, preferably in rail, large-scale infrastructure, or high-speed rail projects. Strong knowledge of international safety standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, NFPA, EU/rail-specific regulations). Proven experience in incident investigation and risk management. Excellent command of English (spoken and written); French/Arabic would be an asset. Proficiency in MS Office and HSE reporting tools. Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment. Key Skills Strong leadership and communication skills. Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
