Job Description Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of safety policies and programs to ensure occupational and personnel safety within the premises & projects. Conduct regular risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with operations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and projects to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify areas for improvement. Conduct investigations into safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop actionable recommendations to prevent future occurrences. Analyze the causes behind such accidents/ incidents, conduct preventive and corrective safety checks as per prescribed standards and ensures readiness of all measures to be taken. Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct regular drills, and ensure that all personnel are adequately trained for emergency situations. Continuously evaluate and improve safety programs and procedures to enhance the overall safety culture. Assist in the development of safety management procedures, in compliance with all relevant quality standards and procedural/ legislative requirements. Assist in conducting awareness sessions to educate employees I contractors about the safety guidelines and procedures. Conduct Safety Meeting with Project consultants, contractors/ sub-contractor. Act as a documentation, systems expert and provide support to the HSE Department. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in electrical/ mechanical/ chemical, Industrial or Fire & Safety Engineering from a reputed university. Experience: Not less than 12 years of experience in fire & safety field with at least 5 years in Utilities (power & water) sector. Fluent in English correspondence. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage Computer literate and presentation skill Certification Requirements Should be either CMIOSH (Chartered Member) or GradlOSH (Graduate Member) NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Also, should have following certification trainings. Valid First Aid Certificate Emergency Response & Preparedness from recognized institute ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Training Additional Information Contractual Role (For the Duration of 3 years) Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and standards related to electricity and water transmission and distribution, construction including OSHA, BS, and other pertinent guidelines.
