Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Safety, Health & Environment Specialist V to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this senior-level position, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety, health, and environmental programs across our organization's operations. Develop, implement, and maintain advanced safety, health, and environmental (SHE) programs, systems, and procedures aligned with local regulations and international best practices Provide strategic leadership and guidance to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop innovative strategies to mitigate potential hazards in the workplace Lead and mentor a team of SHE professionals, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment Analyze complex SHE data and prepare detailed reports for senior management and regulatory agencies Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to integrate SHE considerations into all aspects of the organization's operations Design and deliver comprehensive SHE training programs for employees at all levels Stay informed about changes in local and international SHE regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant and up-to-date Represent the organization in interactions with regulatory bodies and industry associations Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously improve SHE performance Implement innovative technologies and best practices to enhance the organization's SHE management systems Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in safety, health, and environmental management, preferably in a construction or industrial setting In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian safety and environmental regulations Familiarity with international safety standards such as ISO 45001 Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights Excellent leadership and team management abilities Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Proven track record of developing and implementing successful SHE programs Experience in overseeing various trades and operations in large-scale projects Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple project sites as needed Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent professional certification NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or similar qualification is highly desirable Proficiency in using safety management software and data analysis tools Demonstrated ability to influence and drive cultural change in organizations Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in high-pressure situations Experience in conducting thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
