JOB OPPORTUNITY: SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENTAL AND QUALITY (SHEQ) DIRECTOR

Location: Knowsley, UK (with travel across the UK, Ireland, and some overseas travel required)
Reports To: Managing Director, UK & Ireland

We’re seeking a dynamic SHEQ Director to lead and manage the strategic and operational aspects of our SHEQ functions. This is a key leadership role that offers an exciting opportunity to drive excellence in safety, quality, and environmental compliance across our projects.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in health and safety management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within construction or engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in construction and engineering.
• Familiarity with safety management software and incident reporting platforms.
• Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to senior management and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop solutions to complex safety challenges.
• High level of accuracy in regulatory compliance and documentation.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Experience in large-scale construction or engineering projects such as energy, infrastructure, or industrial facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, or an MBA.
• Familiarity with international safety standards (ISO 45001).
