Role Overview ASC is looking for a proactive and hands-on Plant Floor Safety Inspector to champion safety on the production floor. This newly created role is designed for someone who thrives in real-time environments, values worker wellbeing, and isn’t afraid to take charge. With 85–90% of your time spent on the floor, you’ll be the first line of defense against unsafe practices, coaching, correcting, and reinforcing a safety-first culture. . Key Responsibilities Patrol the plant floor to identify and correct unsafe behaviors or conditions Provide real-time coaching and enforce safety protocols Conduct daily safety walk-throughs and hazard inspections Collaborate with supervisors to address recurring safety issues Support incident investigations and root cause analysis Monitor PPE usage, machine guarding, forklift/crane safety, and more Maintain detailed safety logs and reports Recommend improvements to safety processes. What We’re Looking For Qualifications 1–2 years of safety or operations experience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction settings Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and hazard identification Ability to engage and hold others accountable respectfully Physically active and comfortable working in loud, hot, or cold environments Certifications Required: OSHA 10-Hour (General Industry) Preferred: First Aid/CPR, Forklift Trainer Key Metrics for Success 3–5 safety observations documented daily Reduction in incidents and near-misses year over year Timely resolution of corrective actions Key Traits for Success A self-starter who can shape and grow the role A confident communicator who earns respect on the floor Someone who values safety over convenience Comfortable working without a desk your office is the plant floor.
