MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of related experience in safety, with thorough knowledge of Job Safety Analysis/Job Hazard Analysis, inspection protocols, understanding of Confined Space requirements, and operational requirements for Aerial Lifts, as well as proper use of ladders, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures,
  • EHS degree or equivalent experience – preferably construction related.
  • Must have a working understanding of OSHA Standards in General Industry and Construction, as well as Environmental requirements such as EPA, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with work order systems such as Maximo preferred.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 Public Trust background check, if required for the position.
  • Must be able to maintain the ability to access the government worksite.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Responsibilities
  • Provide overall quality inspection of the safety procedures and training to help propel the direction of the company’s safety program.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor company safety training programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Help develop and implement a culture that requires every person to fully embrace, apply, and enforce all safety and regulatory requirements as part of their daily work.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives through safety training assessments and compile and interpret data to identify gaps.
  • Support in developing and implementing action plans as directed.
  • Drive the operational implementation of strategies and initiatives through training in a way that builds a company-wide safety and compliance culture.
  • Analyze, evaluate, identify, and recommend new strategic, creative approaches to improve safety.
  • Inspect for compliance with all OSHA, federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations
  • Review internal health and safety programs, procedures, and policies to ensure they are being trained to the workforce and appropriately documented.
  • Develop and implement audits of training operations to ensure company and regulatory requirements are being met and report findings to safety management and business leaders.
  • Conduct training classes for employees.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
