The Safety Lead supports the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program to ensure a safe and compliant workplace in a food manufacturing environment. This role assists with implementing safety programs, conducting inspections, responding to incidents, and providing training. The Safety Lead promotes compliance with OSHA, USDA, FDA, and SQF requirements while supporting emergency response, audits, and employee safety engagement. Key Responsibilities: * Implement and monitor safety programs, procedures, and audits. * Inspect working conditions, oversee chemical/machinery use, and enforce PPE use. * Support incident response, reporting, and root cause analysis. * Conduct safety observations, training, and orientation for new hires. * Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and metrics. * Promote employee health, safety, and morale. Qualifications: * High School diploma/GED; 3+ years of safety experience (food industry a plus). * Knowledge of GMPs, OSHA safety practices, and emergency protocols. * Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. * Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. * OSHA training, first aid/ERT experience, or safety committee participation preferred. 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM Monday through Friday and occasional weekends.
