***This position requires SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL****** Position Overview This position collaborates with assigned Members to design and implement effective risk management strategies, analyze loss data, perform hazard assessments, and foster a culture of incident prevention and loss control. Required Responsibilities* Conducts site assessments at workplaces, job sites, public spaces, and roadways to identify hazards and recommend targeted solutions that align with industry best practices. Works closely with Members to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, safety protocols, and loss prevention techniques aimed at minimizing exposures. Creates and delivers training sessions, workshops, and resources tailored to the specific needs of Members. Analyzes coverage data and Member experience to identify trends, developing action plans, and service strategies to address risks. Maintains regular communication with Members to assess their loss prevention needs, offer expert advice, and suggest improvements to safety programs. Develops written materials and resources including TIPS sheets, board report articles, training programs, and other initiatives. Gathers data for property valuations, including measurements, construction types, and materials, and process this information for valuation development. Monitors changes in regulations or best practices that may impact members. * The above responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job. Work Leadership Requirements This position is not a people manager. This position does not have indirect reports. Travel Requirements Extensive travel (by car or air) including overnight Physical Requirements Be able to withstand typical office work that includes periods of sitting, standing, typing, etc. indoors while potentially performing job tasks in close proximity to other people. In addition to typical office work, must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 30 pounds frequently to move objects. Also, must be able to drive a vehicle for an extended period of time. Requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer screen, visual inspection, assembly of parts, or extensive reading. Ability to work outside of the office in closed vehicles or equipment and outdoors potentially exposed to all weather conditions and hazards. Ability to have a flexible work schedule to meet business needs and be at work on-site during specified or core hours. Must be able to operate standard computer hardware. Education, Work Experience, Certifications** Required B.A. or B.S. degree in Risk Management, Occupational Safety and Health, Emergency Management, or related field Years of Experience: 3 Area of Experience: employee safety, risk management, emergency management, human resources, public works & utilities, or public safety. Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation, or the ability to obtain within 12 months to attain it as a condition of employment.
