Description
Description The Safety Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and enforcing all workplace safety and health programs across multiple company locations. This position is based in Florida and serves as the primary hub for safety leadership. This is a hands-on, field-driven role. The Safety Manager is expected to be actively present in operations, working directly with employees, supervisors, and leadership to identify risks, correct unsafe behaviors, and implement practical safety solutions. The ideal candidate is not only knowledgeable in safety regulations but is also confident enforcing standards, coaching employees, and driving accountability in fast-paced operational environments. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required, as this role will lead training, communication, and enforcement of safety standards across a bilingual workforce. Regular travel is required to company locations in Delaware and Texas to support operations, conduct audits, and ensure consistency in safety practices. Requirements Key Responsibilities: • Lead and enforce safety standards across all operational locations • Be physically present in yards, warehouses, and active work environments to identify and correct unsafe conditions and behaviors • Conduct regular and unannounced safety audits and inspections • Travel from Florida to Delaware and Texas for site visits, audits, and training • Lead incident, accident, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions • Deliver hands-on safety training in English and Spanish, including forklift operation, PPE use, and material handling • Coach supervisors and employees on safe work practices and accountability • Develop and implement practical, enforceable safety procedures across all locations • Maintain accurate safety records, including OSHA logs (300, 300A), certifications, and internal reports • Identify high-risk operations and implement immediate and long-term corrective measures • Partner with Operations and HR to improve safety performance and reduce incidents • Serve as the main point of contact for safety-related inspections, audits, and insurance matters • Support transportation-related safety practices as needed Qualifications: • 3–5+ years of hands-on safety experience in industrial or operational environments • Experience in logistics, transportation, manufacturing, warehousing, or similar operational environments is a plus, but not required. Candidates with strong hands-on safety experience in other industries will also be considered • Proven experience working directly in operational environments, not just administrative safety roles • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and practical application in the field • OSHA 30 certification required or ability to obtain within 60–90 days • Additional safety certifications such as OSHA 500, CHST, CSP, or equivalent are a plus, but not required • Experience delivering in-person safety training, including forklift certification, required • Strong ability to enforce policies and hold teams accountable • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Ability to work in both field and office environments • Basic awareness of DOT regulations is helpful, but not required Additional Requirements: • Fluency in English and Spanish is required. Candidates who are not fully bilingual will not be considered • Ability and willingness to travel regularly across states Benefits: • Competitive salary based on experience • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • Voluntary benefits (Aflac) • Paid Time Off (PTO) and company holidays • Opportunities for career growth Salary Description Compensation based on experience
