We are seeking an experienced Safety & Compliance Manager to lead all aspects of safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance across Cargomatic’s operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our drivers, contractors, equipment, and facilities operate in full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, while fostering a culture of safety across our network.
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and industry-specific compliance requirements, coupled with the ability to implement proactive safety programs, investigate incidents, and maintain audit-ready documentation. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to safety-related events—often outside standard business hours.
Responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of safety and compliance management experience in trucking, drayage, or intermodal transportation.

  • Strong knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and related safety regulations.
  • Proven track record in accident investigation, safety training, and compliance auditing.
  • Experience managing drug and alcohol programs and FMCSA Clearinghouse compliance.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to train and influence others.
  • Ability to work extended or irregular hours, including responding to urgent safety incidents.

    • Up to 25% travel will be expected.
      The expected salary range for this role is $70,000-90,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
