Description Job Title: Safety Manager Department: Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) – Foresight On-site Reports To: Site Mgr. Location: Phoenix, AZ ________________________________________ Position Overview: The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety programs across Foresight On-site construction projects. This role ensures compliance with OSHA standards, client-specific safety protocols, and Foresight’s internal and client EHS policies, focusing on maintaining a safe and compliant work environment in semiconductor and high-purity construction settings. The Safety Manager serves as a site leader, promoting a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across all operations. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Lead site construction safety efforts to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations, as well as client and company requirements. Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate risks. Develop and maintain project-specific crew Pre Task plans, overall project Safety Plans, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Safe Work/customer specific Permits. Provide daily safety oversight for high-purity construction activities, ensuring safe handling of tools, equipment, and materials within clean and cleanroom environments. Deliver safety meetings, orientations and ongoing initial and recurring training for crew members employees and subcontractors. Investigate unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; to accurately document findings and perform root cause analyses. and lead root cause analyses. Participate in relevant customer fact finding meetings. Track and report safety metrics, trends, and corrective actions to leadership and clients. Coordinate and communicate with client EHS representatives and ensure alignment with site-specific protocols. Enforce FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and contamination control measures in semiconductor facilities. Participate in project planning meetings to identify and address safety requirements during all construction phases. Train and mentor field QA/QC inspectors, ensuring consistent inspection practices and documentation. Lead emergency response preparedness, drills, training and documentation. Foster a safety-first culture built on accountability, awareness, and continuous improvement. Qualifications: OSHA 30 certification required (OSHA 500 or 510 preferred). Minimum 5+ years of safety management experience in construction, preferably in semiconductor or high-purity industries. Strong understanding of OSHA standards, NFPA, and cleanroom safety practices. Proven ability to develop and enforce safety policies and procedures in complex project environments. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills with a solution-based approach. Ability to perform incident investigations and produce detailed reports. Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHS reporting software. Relevant certifications such as CHST, CSP, or equivalent are a plus. Foresight On-Site is an equal opportunity employer.
