REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualification in Safety, Emergency response and/or Risk Management
  • Ideally hold 2 years management experience in the aeronautical industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of ICAO standards, European and UK requirements and provisions on safety management
  • Preferably hold a minimum of 3 years in safety-related roles

Reporting to the Head of Compliance and Safety, the Safety Manager’s focus will be to support, facilitate and lead the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of DHL Air (UK)’s safety management system. Other duties include but are not limited to;

  • Managing the corporate safety management system which covers the requirements of Air Operations Regulations, Part CAMO, Part ATO, Part 145 and also includes occupational health and safety
  • Managing the Fatigue Risk Management System within Flight Operations
  • Managing the corporate risk management processes which include hazard identification, risk assessment and risk mitigation
  • Developing, establishing and oversight of an effective Occurrence Reporting Scheme
  • Developing, establishing and oversight of an operational flight data monitoring syste
