THE JOB: As our Safety Manager, you will lead the planning, development, and oversight of all health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure the highest level of safety for our guests and employees. This role calls for a proactive, self-starting leader who embraces challenges and builds strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including Corporate Security Management, Hotel Operations, the CFO, Legal, and other property leaders. You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us! THE DAY-TO-DAY: Direct, implement, and manage regulatory and Safety Compliance in accordance with the Corporate Safety Audit Program – Enforcing all policies, fire and safety codes, and applicable State, County, and Federal laws and regulations Serve as liaison to the Corporate Security Center of Excellence, regulatory agencies, OSHA, the Fire Department, and other third parties regarding safety programs, inspections, and compliance Administer property safety committee meetings in accordance with regulatory guidelines Conduct property safety observations, Job Hazard Assessments (JHA), and health hazard evaluations, ensuring correction of safety violations and maintain OSHA records and logs Evaluate training effectiveness, track compliance, and ensure all employees complete required OSHA-mandated safety training Review testing and maintenance of all fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers Investigate team member incidents and injuries to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures, corrective actions, and safety program improvements Collaboration with Risk Management and Workers’ Compensation on team member injuries and incidents THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Must be 21 years of age or older High School Diploma or GED Two (2) years of prior relevant experience in Fire / Safety, Risk, OSHA and other related regulations Working knowledge of State, County, and Federal laws & regulations preferred Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees) Professional and personal development opportunities through employee programs and network groups Free meals in our New York New York employee dining room Free parking on and off-shift at all MGM Resorts properties Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION: https://mgmresorts.marketpayjobs.com/ShowJob.aspx?EntityID=2&jobcode=19218 Are you ready to JOIN THE SHOW?
