Safety Manager Palmdale Oil Company is one of the largest family owned petroleum wholesale company in the State of Florida.  We sell diesel, gasoline, marine fuels and oils/lubricant. We are recruiting for a Safety Manager to join our team that will help our organization grow and move into the future. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid background in safety. In addition to exceptional customer service skills, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves" attitude.      Job Summary The Safety Manager is responsible for creating an environment and culture focused on sustaining safe operations and engaged associates. This includes the continuous development, implementation and compliance of our safety programs, policies and procedures. The Safety Manager will also inspect, audit, and assist locations in complying with Federal, State, Local, and Company polices.  This is a proactive role working to improve physical conditions, conduct and associate behaviors to ensure we have a safe, healthy and incident free work environment.  Job Description  * Oversee and ensure compliance and timely reporting of all OSHA/MSHA, DOT, FMCSA, HazMat, and NFPA regulations pertaining to operations while maintaining awareness of any amendments to those regulations and its impact on operations * Manage all aspects of the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Program * Responsible for marinating the DQF files to DOT standard * Develop, maintain, and proactively deliver educational materials and training that helps improve safety, including DOT, NFPA, OSHA/MSHA, HazMat, and company safety training programs * Create and administer all aspects of company safety policies and procedures, including incident response and reporting * Lead Safety efforts, including incident investigation, best practice sharing, in-cab safety video review, and safe associate reward and recognition programs * Conduct on-site reviews and audits of all operational locations as well as safety audits compliance with DOT regulations * Maintaining the PPE program * Provide reports and updates to executive management team regarding any safety issues, new programs, and regulation changes * Ensures that safety technology tools are used and those results are examined, trend data is analyzed, and plans are developed to reduce and then prevent future safety incidents * Responsible for Employee Development programs to include the following: * CDL Driver’s License with Hazardous Materials Endorsement * Forklift Certification * CPR & First Aid Training * Confined Space training * Fire Watch training * Emergency Evacuation Plan * Field Safety Maintenance training * Slip/Trip/Fall Protection training * Worker's Compensation and Injury Prevention * Up keep of all licensures/state tags for the fleet * Travel is required * Additional duties as assigned   Job Requirements * Minimum 5 years relevant work experience * Strong Leadership Skills * Quality focus * Problem solving * Microsoft Office Product knowledge * Prior experience with commercial fleet * Industrial safety experience preferred   * In depth knowledge of OSHA/DOT/FMSCA * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Willing to travel * DOT/Fleet management experience required * DOT Safety knowledge required * Your Health Plans: * Medical * Dental * Vision * Life * Disability * Supplemental Benefits Your Money Management: * 401(K) Retirement Savings Plan with Company match Your Work Life Balance: * Paid Time Off * Paid Holidays Your Career : * Competitive compensation  * Employee Referral Bonus * On the job paid training  An Equal Opportunity Employer/Vet/Disability
