QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of Transportation Legislation and Compliance
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety procedures and best practices
  • Class 1 License is an asset
  • Prior experience in transportation safety management preferred

Responsibilities
  • Conduct driver evaluations
  • Coordinate and deliver safety and compliance training (e.g. Load Securement, Trip Inspections, ELD, Logbooks)
  • Ensure compliance with National Safety Code and all transportation regulations
  • Maintain and enforce company policies and standards
  • Monitor, counsel, and document driver violations (provincial, federal, local, or internal policies)
  • Conduct investigations into transportation accidents and safety incidents
  • Manage investigations into customer complaints related to safety
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Driver and Vehicle files
