OVERVIEW:

Triosim Corporation is looking for a dedicated and self-motivated Safety Manager. The Safety Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all Triosim Corporation employees. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs and initiatives to mitigate risk, comply with local, state and federal regulations, and foster a positive and proactive safety culture. This position requires a strategic thinker who can lead initiatives to minimize workplace hazards and who is self-directed, requiring minimal direction with a forward-thinking vision.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-10+ years of safety related experience plus additional training/education in health and safety.
  • 10-Hour OSHA, 30-Hour OSHA, First Aid/CPR, OSHA Authorized Trainer, OSHA Competent Person.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-year degree in safety, industrial hygiene or related field.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar safety professional designation.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead the strategy and execution of developing and maintaining a world-class safety program.
  • Work closely with executive management to cultivate safety culture.
  • Serve as the corporate health and safety subject matter expert with clients, regulators, and Triosim staff working on projects or designing proposal responses.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; analyze root causes; and implement corrective and preventative actions; including handling of worker’s compensation cased and return-to-work programs.
  • Create, recommend, and implement employee safety and workers’ compensation policies, procedures, and safety rules, including the Safety Rules handbook. Ensure safety policies, programs, and practices are aligned with current laws and regulations
  • Responsible for Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance. Maintain accurate and up-to-date OSHA records.
  • Coordinates employee safety training programs and record keeping.
  • Develop and promote safety awareness and safety communication to be used throughout the company.
  • Maintain and submit the following: OSHA logs, ISNetworld, Browz, PICS, TAPPISafe, Abbotsfield.
  • Oversee Department of Transportation(DOT) Compliance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • No direct reports. However, this position will be expected to supervise safety functions on site and develop a plan for how to properly staff project sites with safety supervision. This could involve managing third-party providers or hiring and supervising employees to perform on certain projects.
