Description

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certification: Relevant safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, etc.).
  • Experience: Minimum 03 years of experience in a safety role within the construction industry based in UAE.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of local and national health and safety regulations, safety management systems, and risk assessment techniques.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safety Management: Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans and policies in alignment with local regulations and company standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure appropriate safety measures are in place.
  • Training and Education: Organize and conduct safety training sessions for employees, subcontractors, and visitors to ensure everyone is informed about safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and near misses, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety practices.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, ensuring all staff are familiar with procedures in case of an incident.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between management, employees, and regulatory bodies regarding safety issues, concerns, and compliance.
