Description
Location: Sofia, Bulgaria We are looking for a Safety Officer (permanent employment) to join our Maintenance Organization. Required Experience and Qualifications Essential Degree or diploma in Aviation Safety, Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related technical discipline Relevant experience or strong motivation to build a career in aviation safety, quality assurance, or compliance within a Part-145 environment Direct involvement in implementing or supporting a Safety Management System (SMS) in an EASA-regulated organization, under the supervision of a Safety Manager Strong understanding (or motivation to develop understanding) of EASA Part-145, Part-M/CAMO, and related compliance requirements Working knowledge of ICAO SMS principles and EU regulations related to safety oversight Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and identify practical mitigations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to promote a strong safety culture Proficiency in written and spoken English (additional languages are an asset) High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive safety information Strong organizational and report-writing skills Proficiency in MS Office and related software tools Eligibility to work in Sofia, Bulgaria Willingness to travel occasionally for safety-related meetings or investigations (if required) Considered an Advantage Completed training in Safety Management Systems (SMS) in accordance with EASA and ICAO Annex 19 standards Human Factors, Occurrence Reporting, and Risk Management training (up to date) Experience in occurrence investigation, root cause analysis, or safety data analysis Familiarity with Centrik or similar safety/compliance management software Why Join us?
