QUALIFICATIONS
A qualified candidate must have completed the OSHA 30-hour General Industry training and either possess a degree in Industrial Hygiene (preferred) or have a minimum of two years of experience in a safety role. This job requires a minimum of 25 hours per week (5 hours per day) to accomplish the safety aspects of this job scheduled Monday-Friday. You will be expected to be able to work independently, as well as have excellent organizational and communication skills. Full-time opportunities with additional responsibilities are available. Spanish speaking is a plus.

You will be administering and updating a health and safety management plan that reduces the risk of health hazard exposures and accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and standards. You are expected to maintain accurate safety documentation and records, as well as perform regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards. You will also perform office related functions such as answering questions, data entry, and assisting with clerical aspects of certain compliance obligations.
You are expected to be in the office Monday-Friday (between 7AM and 5PM) for the bulk of your work (minimum 5 hours per day). In addition to that, you will be expected to perform periodic checks on operations, including at least one weekly (1-2 hours) visit during swing shift hours (between 5PM and 12AM).
