Responsibilities Execute the Safety Management System for achieving the highest possible health and safety standards and performance in the designated department Provide health and safety information, advice and interpretation for the new and amended health and safety legislations, in-house rules and procedures Carry out regular safety inspections, with interactive communication and discussion with frontline staff; and consolidate and analyse the inspection findings Assist in planning, arranging, and organising safety promotional activities and training within the department to enhance safety awareness and interests of site staff Carry out safety audit for the department as requested to ensure the safety performance compliance with operational standards Explore and advise new safety technology to support continuous improvement Requirements Higher Diploma in Engineering / Safety Management or a related discipline A minimum of 8 years’ experience in major Civil / Permanent Way / Power Distribution / E&M works, of which 2 years should be in safety field and 3 years in supervisory level Possession of the qualification stipulated under the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Regulations is a must Knowledge of safety management is essential Strong analytical and interpersonal skills Good stakeholder management with experience of working in a cross-functional working environment Remarks Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered Applications You are invited to apply online via http://www.mtr.com.hk/mtr_job_en or send in your CV stating the position (with reference number) you are applying for by mail to Human Resource Management Department, MTR Corporation, G.P.O.
