We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Safety Engineer to join our team in UAE. The Safety Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment, with experience in the UAE regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Policy Development:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and industry best practices.
Ensure policies are regularly reviewed and updated to address emerging risks and regulatory changes.
Risk Assessment:
Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and evaluate the effectiveness of existing safety measures.
Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
Compliance Management:
Ensure compliance with all UAE safety regulations, including those from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) and other relevant authorities.
Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation required by regulatory bodies.
Training and Development:
Design and deliver safety training programs for employees, including induction training for new hires.
Promote safety awareness and foster a culture of safety within the organization.
Incident Investigation:
Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
Maintain detailed records of incidents and ensure timely reporting to relevant authorities.
Safety Equipment and Procedures:
Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and inspection of safety equipment and protective gear.
Develop and implement emergency response procedures and conduct regular drills.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with management and other departments to ensure safety standards are integrated into operational processes.
Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns.
Qualifications:
Education: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or similar are highly desirable.
