JOB PURPOSE To ensure a safe and healthy working environment by implementing, monitoring, and enforcing occupational health and safety requirements, in compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and applicable safety standards. 2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Implement and monitor occupational health and safety programs at site level. Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and report unsafe acts and conditions. Identify hazards and support the preparation of risk assessments and control measures. Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and company safety procedures. Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and support corrective actions. Deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks for employees and contractors. Maintain safety records, reports, permits, and inspection checklists. Coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance with site safety rules. Support emergency preparedness activities such as fire drills and evacuation exercises. Qualifications Educational Credentials Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Work Experience Minimum 2–4 years experience in a Safety Officer or HSE role. Safety certification such as NEBOSH IGC or equivalent is preferred. Language Skills Good communication skills in English. Computer Skills Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
