We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team and contribute to the continuous improvement of our facilities and operations. This position focuses on implementing and overseeing safety protocols, procedures, and initiatives to ensure the safety and well-being of employees, guests, and property assets.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, identifying risks, and mitigating hazards. Your role will also involve fostering a culture of safety within the organization, coordinating emergency response measures, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety engineering or safety management, preferably in a hospitality or facility management setting.
  • Professional certification in safety management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, OSHA, NEBOSH) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to various industries.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and protocols to ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits of facilities, equipment, and operational processes to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with department heads and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability through training, education, and communication.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions and preventive measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures, including evacuation drills, first aid training, and crisis management protocols, to ensure effective responses during emergencies.
