Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and visitors at our facility. This is a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment and preventing accidents or injuries. Duties: - Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to comply with local, state, and federal regulations - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards or safety concerns - Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions - Provide safety training and education to employees on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and personal protective equipment (PPE) - Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies - Maintain safety records and documentation - Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving overall safety performance - Fabricate safety signs, labels, and other visual aids as needed Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred - Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role - Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations - Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety procedures - Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and make decisions in high-pressure situations - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Training development experience is a plus We offer competitive compensation packages including benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for career growth.
