Job Description Job Purpose: The Safety, Risk & Compliance Manager serves as a central leadership role responsible for advancing the organization’s safety, risk, and regulatory compliance programs. This position provides strategic direction, program ownership, and operational support to ensure consistent execution across all divisions. This role acts as a key liaison between Risk & Compliance and the Operational Excellence Team, ensuring safety, risk, and compliance considerations are embedded into operational processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and field execution standards. The Manager strengthens organizational performance through program development, training leadership, compliance assurance, and data-driven decision-making while fostering a proactive and sustainable safety culture. What You’ll Do You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include: Enterprise Office Safety Support (20%) Lead office and shop safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards such as OSHA, NFPA, EPA, ANSI, etc. Manage Emergency Action Plans, response, and relevant training exercises for all office locations. Provide oversight and procurement support for enterprise safety equipment inventory. Lead office safety committees across locations Risk & Compliance Management (20%) Assist with incident reporting, documentation accuracy, and evidence gathering for incident investigations. Manage OSHA, MSHA, and other regulatory agency investigations and citation response. Support workers’ compensation coordination by collecting field details, reports, follow-up information, injury management, and return-to-work. Maintain OSHA 300 log compliance Oversee driver and fleet management including driver qualification files and roadside inspection/citation management. Provide on-site safety support during high-risk activities or when requested by Safety Managers. Help maintain compliance with prequalification portals, safety contract reviews, OCIP manuals, and client safety, orientation, and documentation requirements. Training, Communication, and Content Development (20%) Maintain accurate records in incident reporting platform (iTrack), learning management system (KE KnowlEDGE), or other platforms. Support training assignments, coordination, and delivery of new hire orientation, OSHA 10/30, and other specialty safety courses. Assist with preparing and updating safety training and orientation materials, field reference guides/job aids, and coordination of instructor-led training events. Contribute to field safety communications such as incident/hazard alerts, standdowns, and other internal publications. Perform quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews of incident reports, JSAs, and other safety, risk, and compliance activities and documentation. Serve as liaison with the Operational Excellence team to ensure Safety and Risk considerations are incorporated. Program & Policy Support (15%) Track regulatory requirements and assist in updating internal programs to maintain compliance with changing standards. Participate in the rollout of new or enhanced safety procedures, standards, or equipment requirements. Support development and maintenance of centralized safety standards, reference libraries, and process improvements. Support safety meetings, stand-downs, initiatives, and periodic reviews as assigned. Contribute to updates of training content, field safety guidance, and compliance resources. Safety Culture Reinforcement (15%) Encourage proactive hazard identification, near-miss reporting, and corrective actions. Promote consistent use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices. Serve as a resource for employees regarding safety practices, compliance standards, and risk prevention. Qualifications You’re someone who shows up ready to work hard, learn fast, and contribute to a team that takes pride in doing things right. Successful candidates typically bring: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred. 3+ years of field safety, risk, compliance, or construction experience. Experience with training delivery, safety audits, or compliance programs is highly desirable. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, job hazard analysis, and construction safety best practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coach and influence across levels. Proficient with incident management, audit tools, and training systems (e.g., Smartsheet, Procore, Absorb LMS). Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with attention to detail. Bonus Points: Electrical industry safety experience including NFPA 70/70E preferred but not required. Certifications such as OSHA 30, CHST, ARM, CRM, or CSP preferred but not required. Travel Requirements: 10-30% Travel to support Field Safety and Operations Teams Must be able to travel to site when needed by a customer or directed by supervisor. May be required to work evenings and or weekends. Occasional air travel may be necessary for out-of-state or national projects.
