SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful, you will have excellent verbal and written English skills with the ability to work flexible hours (24/7 rotating shifts - days, nights, afternoons & weekends). You will also have excellent computer skills and have a passion for customer service delivery which will exceed client expectations and set the bar high.
You will also possess:
· Current Victorian Security Licence
· Current First Aid Certificate with the ability and confidence to respond to First Aid incidents
· Minimum 1 year of control room experience would be preferred
· Demonstrated experience with a sound understanding of varied Security systems including CCTV, Access Control and Fire Indication Panels (FIPs)
· The ability and confidence to act as the Chief Warden of the Building Emergency Control Organisation
· Team orientated nature and excellent communication skills
· Excellent presentation and grooming
· Drive and motivation to improve services and processes as required
· High-level customer service focus with a “can-do” attitude
· Professional with excellent interpersonal skills and respectful attitude towards team members, customers, and clients

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking the services of reliable and experienced full-time Safety & Security Officers to join our team in Victoria for positions in the Melbourne CBD.
All positions are paid at 6% ABOVE the Security Services Industry Award - Level 4 rates which includes night, weekend, and overtime loadings.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary functions of this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing high quality customer service and support
  • General Control Room duties including administration tasks across multiple systems (CCTV, Gallagher, Simplex, Cyber Key)
  • Programming of cards and keys
  • Extensive foot patrols across multiple buildings
  • Safety checking of buildings and surrounds
  • Building and maintaining tenant and client relationships
  • Interact with various stakeholders including client representatives, building and facilities management, contractors, emergency services, employees and the general public
  • First Aid for minor to serious incidents (First Aid refresher training provided every six months on site which includes resuscitation, automatic defibrillation and Oxygen Therapy training)
  • Chief Warden and emergency management duties (Annual Chief Warden training provided on site)
