JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Safety Professional, “Safety Specialist II” with a strong background in data center construction to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting training, onboarding trade partners to the site, and overseeing safety procedures throughout the construction process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or similar certification is highly desirable.
  • Ideally at least 3 years of experience in construction safety, with a preference for experience in data center construction.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards relevant to construction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to conduct effective training and safety presentations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Knowledge with experience using Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement, and maintain safety programs and policies tailored to the site.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide safety site orientation for all construction personnel, emphasizing best practices and safety protocols specific to data center environments.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, contractors, and subcontractors to promote a culture of safety and address any safety-related concerns.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards, including OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
  • Serve as a liaison between the construction team and regulatory agencies regarding safety compliance.
