Why this role? The Country Safety Specialist is accountable for executing Frontline (FL) and country’s safety plans and taking ownership of driving safety culture and continuous improvement across the country. The role ensures effective implementation of the KONE Way for Safety by translating policies and strategies into practical, on-site actions, strengthening safety discipline, and supporting line management to achieve sustainable safety performance. What will you be doing? Safety and Health policy and objectives Support the implementation, maintenance and improvement of KONE safety and health management system (operating model) including worker, user and third-party safety Cultivate an understanding and actively caring culture for safety. Act as a role model Compile, maintain and improve safety documentation together with the frontline and country safety team Actively participate in and contribute to Country safety committee and other safety and health forums Provide professional advice and support to the Country on matters affecting safety and health Plan, participate in and implement projects and activities to improve safety Work closely with customers, end-user, and partners, including KONE subcontractors Support the development, review and exercise of crisis and emergency response plans Safety and Health risk management Ensure safety risk assessments are practical, current, and site-relevant Monitor high-risk activities and ensure adequate controls are in place Support safety-related change management initiatives Ensure risks identified are acted upon Support safety related change management projects and initiatives Safety and Health assurance & Governance Collect, measure and ensure accuracy of leading and lagging safety and health data and report performance Monitor legal and business environment development in safety and Health, identify and propose actions Perform safety and health audits regularly to verify compliance, identify uncontrolled risks and deviations Assist line management in safety and health audits/visits and support the audit process improvement Analyse and investigate incidents. Support the investigation process improvement Manage corrective and preventive actions for continual improvement Safety and Health promotion Ensure safety communication is clear, timely, and contextual Improve effectiveness of toolbox talks and safety briefings Develop own competences as a safety specialist in co-operation with the manager Support the training and development of others’ safety competences in the Country Proactively communicate safety information including investigation outcomes and best practices Quality and Environment Assist line management in Quality and Environment for the process improvement Are you the one? Bachelor degree in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or related disciplines 5-8 years of working experience in safety Excellent communication in Thai. English is an asset Strong people and interpersonal skills Experience from manufacturing and/or construction industry is prefered What do we offer?
