Description The Premier I&E Safety Specialist will support the Manager of Health and Safety in preventing workplace injuries and reducing health risks across operations. This role is integral in maintaining consistency and compliance within all safety programs. Responsibilities include conducting site visits, performing safety audits, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring regulatory adherence. Based on findings and operational feedback, the specialist will also help develop and implement risk mitigation strategies. The role includes fostering a culture of safety by providing training, participating in group tailgates, and distributing educational materials. Key Responsibilities: Inspect and evaluate workplace conditions, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Attend group tailgates to deliver safety briefings, provide written materials, and address employee safety concerns. Assist in incident investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. Recommend proactive safety measures to mitigate risks associated with hazardous methods, processes, or materials. Support and participate in the development and delivery of safety training and educational programs. Investigate safety and health complaints and support their resolution. Contribute to the design and execution of company-wide safety initiatives and programs. Requirements Proficient with computers and standard applications including Google Drive, document creation, and internet tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in public speaking and presentations. Familiarity with OSHA and other federal, state, and municipal safety regulations. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective interpersonal skills for building strong relationships with employees, supervisors, and managers. Demonstrated leadership ability, including motivating others and delivering constructive feedback. Sound decision-making and analytical skills to evaluate risks and determine solutions. Strong organizational skills with a track record of setting goals and prioritizing work effectively. Team-building capabilities that foster collaboration, trust, and respect among peers.
