JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Supervisor to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and developing training programs that empower employees to maintain a safe working environment. This role is crucial in minimizing risks and fostering a proactive approach to safety across all operations.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a safety supervisory role or similar position within an transportation, industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of OHS regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Experience in training development, with the ability to create engaging training materials tailored to various audiences.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey safety information to all levels of staff.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating risks and implementing effective solutions.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
