Description:  The role involves a large range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the health, safety, and environment of all employees at Holden Farm. Hours: Monday – Friday, times may vary based on business needs; this position will involve travel and non-standard business hours.     Essential Job Functions    * Developing and implementing safety programs to comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines. * Managing safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. * Will be the liaison/main point of contact for workers compensation vendor. * Leading and participating in safety investigations to identify root cause of incidents and implement corrective actions. * Ensuring proper use of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE). * Providing technical assistance and guidance in risk related matters, including ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and incident investigation. * Maintain safety files and records to track findings and ensure follow up on safety-related issues. * Visiting farms in-person quarterly to complete safety assessments. * Perform in-person annual safety training at all site locations. * Participate in safety onboarding on new employees and continuous training for all employees. * Reporting of safety metrics * Implement and lead safety committee meetings quarterly. * Ensure that all safety related documents are updated and current such as AWAIR, Safety Handbook sand Right -to-Know.   Education/Experience  * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)  * Strong skills in using spreadsheets and databases. * Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Industrial Engineering.  Three – five years of experience in a safety related role in lieu of education. * Previous agriculture experience preferred. * OSHA 30 current certificate * Certified in CPR & First Aid   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   * Self-motivated team player with a positive “can-do” attitude    * Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.  * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to have difficult conversations and achieve desired results.  * Excellent prioritization, organizational, and problem-solving skills  * Strong interest in team building and staff development. * Dependable and able to work with minimal supervision.   Benefits:  * Medical/Dental/Vision * Life Insurance  * 401(k) + Company Contribution  * Profit Sharing  * Short Term Disability/Long Term Disability * Paid Holidays * PTO (Paid Time Off)  * Much More!  Equal Employment Opportunity Statement We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
