JOB SUMMARY

Vuteq USA is seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Supervisor to oversee the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) functions at our Princeton, IN facility. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations, developing and maintaining safety programs, conducting training, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
The Safety Supervisor serves as a key technical resource for all departments and works closely with leadership to identify risks, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve health and safety practices.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably automotive.
  • In-depth working knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and applicable safety standards.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong understanding of Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, Bloodborne Pathogens, PPE, and Machine Guarding.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations, writing reports, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to lead training sessions and interact effectively across all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility.
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and read printed materials, signs, and gauges.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and oversee all EHS programs at the facility, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain required safety and environmental records, logs, permits, and reports in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and audits, and report findings to leadership with actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs including new employee orientation, emergency response, PPE usage, Lockout/Tagout, hazard communication, etc.
  • Lead investigations for workplace incidents, near-misses, and injuries; perform root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Track and analyze injury, illness, and workers’ compensation data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Serve as the facility’s main point of contact for external regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA, Fire Department, Environmental Agencies).
  • Maintain and update Emergency Action Plans, evacuation routes, and coordinate facility-wide safety drills and preparedness activities.
  • Support the selection, implementation, and enforcement of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain and manage the EHS training matrix, training records, and safety-related communications (bulletins, posters, reports).
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, safety talks, recognition programs, and participation in safety committees.
  • Assist with environmental compliance efforts such as waste management, spill response, air/water permits, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Maintain an organized and current EHS document control system and safety resource library (manuals, SDSs, procedures).
  • Perform other duties and EHS-related projects as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have direct reports but will collaborate closely with supervisors, team leaders, and associates to promote and enforce safety policies across the facility.
