Safety Support Professional   * Salary Range: $24.04 - $28.85 per hour, based on relevant years of experience * Location: Fort Collins, Colorado at Garcia House * Status: Full time, 40 hours per week * Hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11:30 AM to 12:00 AM and every other Wednesday, 3:30PM -12AM    Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential.  Shift differentials are also available for evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.       Role Overview:   Responsible for providing first line response to escalated clients and incidents across our programs/facilities, responding to safety codes, and handling urgent/emergent situations quickly as they arise in a professional and trauma informed manner with careful consideration of SHP policies, procedures, values and philosophy of care as part of a team that supports clients in healthy and therapeutic engagement while enrolled in inpatient and outpatient services.   Essential Duties:    * Engage with clients to support healthy and therapeutic engagement, management of interpersonal conflict, and prevention of escalation and other critical incidents. * Provide first line responses to escalated clients and incidents at our 24/7 facilities or other outpatient/community-based sites. Assist other staff in assessing potentially dangerous situations; intervene to prevent situations from escalating into violence. Assist staff in crises that may require physical interventions. * Perform both verbal de-escalation and physical management/control techniques on individuals showing signs of emotional, verbal and/or physical aggression. * Contact and assist law enforcement agencies and emergency health care personnel as requested or required. * Transport or provide support during transportation of escalated clients or clients in crisis. * Participate in and help facilitate safety drills across SummitStone facilities.     Required:   * High school diploma or completion of G.E.D. required    License and Certifications: * Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record required * CPR and First Aid certifications required   Highly Desired:   * More than two years of experience working in behavioral health setting or programs preferred * At least one year of experience as safety, security, or first responder preferred * Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred    At SummitStone Health Partners, we strive to foster trust, empower recovery, and inspire hope to strengthen and enrich our Northern Colorado community.  We need your help to make this vision a reality.   We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone can be their authentic self.
