Description Noble a leader in the oil and gas industry is seeking a highly motivated individual to be the Safety Trainer for our organization. The Safety Trainer assists the HSE Coordinators and HSE Director in teaching and/or supporting company HSE policies and procedures, while improving the safety culture at all locations. Primary responsibilities include training for all Noble employees across all Noble companies while providing backup support for the HSE Coordinators. Conducts employee onboarding training as required and works with Quality and Safety Trainer (QST) representatives to enhance overall training programs. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: · Work with the leadership team to improve safety culture, and coach members of leadership to lead by example to set the standard for safety practices. · Develops and delivers Safety Training curriculum using standard computer presentation programs and other training tools. · Assists with testing and servicing safety equipment and systems. · Observes in-house and off-site workers and evaluates job activities to determine use of prescribed safety equipment such as hardhats, safety glasses, respirators, clothing, harnesses, and other equipment. · As it relates to HSE responsibilities, prepares report of findings with recommendations for corrective action. · Incident Investigation - Investigates causes of injuries, accidents, incidents and near misses to identify root cause, create preventive safety measures for incorporation into the safety program, and create “Safety Alerts” as applicable · Maintains HSE programs and record keeping systems that track and evaluate employee training. · Demonstrates use of safety equipment. · In events of emergency, act accordingly to initiate and communicate appropriate response to hazardous material and waste situations. · Maintain up to date training records. · Maintain teaching credentials. · Rotating weekend on call as Coordinator with HSE team and responding to HSE incident/accident calls · All other duties as assigned. Skills and Knowledge: · Minimum of 5 years related experience in an HSE position within the Oil & Gas or similar industry. · Must be proficient in written and verbal communication skills. · Must be proficient in operating MS Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) · Must be proficient utilizing DISA, ISNetworld, ProCertx, Veriforce · Can work closely with fellow employees at all Noble locations. · Provide back-up support as needed for HSE Director and Coordinators. · Thorough knowledge of safety and work standards. · Minimum Qualifications: · Four-year degree in an HSE related field is desired. · First Aid, CPR, AED Instructor Certification required. · PEC Basic 7.0 and H2S instructor certifications are required. · Permit Required Confined Space Instructor certification is required. · Ives, MEWPS & Earth Mover Instructor certification is required. · Valid Driver’s License Special Requirements: · Strong Natural Ability to Work in Teams · High Degree of Adaptability & Flexibility · Strong Desire to Learn New Skills & Knowledge · Excellent Work Ethic, Dependability & Dedication to Team/Company · Personal Desire/Value to Produce Quality Work · Ability to speak to small or large groups of people · As required, you may have to travel to various Noble locations (i.e., Company Truck, Airline, etc.) · Physical Demands: · Sedentary Work · Light Duty: Lifting of 20 pounds maximum with possibility of frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds may be required. · Medium Duty: Lifting of 50 pounds maximum with possibility of frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds may be required.
