Description Job Summary: The Safety Valve Technician is responsible for repairing and testing various types of Pressure Relief Valves and Safety Relief Valves within the chemical, refining, and power industries. This role involves disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, measuring, reassembling, and pressure-testing valves at Leverage Mechanical facilities and client locations. Duties and responsibilities: Perform repair and testing of pressure relief valves with punctuality, efficiency and a sense of urgency. Demonstrate compliance with Quality Control Manuals and applicable codes and standards. Complete all necessary calibration and documentation associated with valve testing and repairs. Travel to job sites and adhere to site safety and performance requirements. Provide timely updates to management, co-workers, and customers to ensure successful job completion. Obligation to communicate complete, clear, accurate information with co-workers, management, and safety coordinator to ensure compliance with expectations of the role. Requirements Essential qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (preferred) Familiarity with tools and machinery required for daily valve repair duties. 2-5 years of experience in repairing pressure relief devices Valid Driver’s License. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals, and spring charts. Proficiency in writing routine reports and correspondence. Effective communication skills in group and customer settings. Experience diagnosing unsatisfactory components that cause malfunction in pressure relief devices. Legible penmanship / Sufficient grammar to communicate with clarity and accuracy. Working conditions: Frequent exposure to loud noises. Continuous standing, walking, bending, crouching, and climbing. Regular use of hands, fingers, and reaching with arms. Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. Continuous talking or listening. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain). Some travel is required. Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Continuous standing, walking, bending, crouching, and climbing. Regular use of hands, fingers, and reaching with arms. Occasionally, overtime hours are required to meet customer deadlines.
