This role will play a key part in building risk capability, integrating processes to mitigate or eliminate the introduction of risk into the business and support the implementation of the Safety and Wellbeing strategy What's involved: Develop and embed processes and standards to integrate the safety & wellbeing risk framework to identify, prioritise and manage risks either existing or emerging Provide technical safety advice including completion of risk assessments, and engagement of external technical consultants to enable business to make decisions on the management of risk Support key business initiatives from a safety and wellbeing perspective, aligning to our Safety and Wellbeing strategy and risk profile Identify opportunities through trends or where work is identified difficult and engage others to find solution based outcomes Who we're looking for: Bringing your strong technical risk knowledge and skills you will also be highly skilled at building trusted relationships and understanding stakeholder needs. You’ll need: Significant demonstrated experience in safety & wellbeing in a complex environment Tertiary qualification in health and safety or a related discipline, ideally coupled with relevant experience Comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Legislation Sound working knowledge of risk management concepts and skill in risk practices High level of skill in researching, analysing and interpreting risk concepts and requirements and translating these into simple and practical controls Strong planning and organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
