We’re looking for enthusiastic and approachable individuals with experience and passion for the watersports industry. As a Sailing Instructor, you will be working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Your primary responsibility is to create a fun, professional, and safe environment where customers can enjoy learning to sail or progress through RYA courses. In addition to instruction, you will assist with the day-to-day operation of Watersports hire, which includes customer service, equipment handling, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. You will also contribute to the upkeep of the centre by participating in cleaning, basic maintenance tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED.

  • RYA Dinghy Instructor qualification
  • RYA Senior Instructor is desirable but not essential.
  • RYA Powerboat Level 2 qualification.
  • RYA Safety boat qualification.

REQUIREMENTS FOR WATERSPORTS SAILING INSTRUCTOR

  • Previous experience working as a sailing instructor at a similar centre.
  • Good general knowledge of and interest in Watersports activities and boats.
  • Motivated to go the extra mile for guests and colleagues.
  • Passionate for providing outdoor and water sport activities.
  • A great team player, willingness to help complete tasks.
  • Willingness to learn the operating procedures and day to day running of the centre, including carrying out cleaning tasks as well as serving customers.
  • Enthusiasm and drive to develop personal skills and experience.
  • Able to work flexible and unsocial hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • When not teaching sailing, responsibilities will include assisting with the day-to-day operations of the hire centre, providing customer service for boat rentals, and performing general duties such as cleaning, maintenance, and equipment management.
    There are part time and full-time seasonal contracts available.
