This role encompasses setting the business news agenda, directing strategic coverage initiatives, managing editorial operations, and leading a dynamic team of business journalists to deliver authoritative, engaging content.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strategic Leadership: Position Netwerk24 as the definitive source for South African business news in Afrikaans by identifying emerging trends, setting coverage priorities, and developing innovative storytelling approaches that resonate with digital-first audiences.
• Editorial Excellence: Commission, write, and edit compelling, legally sound, and accessible content spanning corporate developments, economic analysis, financial markets, and investigative business journalism.
• Team Development: Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing team of business reporters while fostering a collaborative culture of journalistic excellence and continuous learning.
