Based at our Vancouver Plant near Commercial Drive and Powell Street, we are hiring a Fleet Operations Planner. This role is a key customer service position in the company, responsible for managing the Company’s raw materials pick-up order process from generation of requests, to until they are ready to be matched to their scale tickets associated with the completed truck routes. The primary goal of the position is to provide an optimized solution of excellent customer service levels combined with highly efficient truck routes to all Divisions of the company. Build a stable career with a reputable, privately owned, family-owned company of more than 450 employees Continuous training and development available, upskilling is encouraged Room for advancement within the organization Competitive compensation package, including generous extended health benefits Generous RRSP matching for employee contributions after 1 year ACCOUNTABILITIES: Route Planning • Import orders from JD Edwards (“JDE”), maintaining a rolling 14-day inventory of orders • Build all raw materials trucking routes using route optimization software • Manage operational data in route planning maintenance files (e.g. location, equipment, service time) • Manage digital map edits and information to best current state JD Edwards Order Management • Manage JDE raw materials orders from JDE Status 510 up to and including JDE Status 564 • Manage Orders R and Orders S process between JDE and the routing software • Send completed routes from JDE to truck phones • Review order notes from completed trips and adjust customer service levels accordingly • Recommend improvements to customer container equipment to optimize pick-ups and routes • Cancel unused orders in system • Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues • Bring orders on service interrupt to Customer Service to be proactively addressed so as to minimize customer service disruption and maximize company revenue Additional Responsibilities • Some afterhours routing support may be required • Identify opportunities for operational and fleet utilization improvements • Actively participate and contribute in weekly Operations Centre Team Meetings THE IDEAL CANDIDATE • Relevant post-secondary education, preferably in Business, Logistics or Transportation • 3 to 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics, planning routes or similar roles • Prior experience with Roadnet Transportation Suite Software and other ERP systems required • Strong customer service focus for both team members and the public • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills Interested candidates are invited to submit their application via the "Apply Now" link below.
