ABOUT THE POSITION:

Note: This is NOT a remote position. To qualify, you MUST reside in the DC/MD/VA territory.
We are seeking highly motivated and outgoing sales professional to join our Business Development Team for Washington D.C., Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun Counties in VA to help continue our business success, expand our market share, credibility and customer diversity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You are a highly skilled, and successful outside sales “hunter” that has developed longterm relationships with decision makers within the Multi-family, Property Management, Assisted Living, Medical Facilities, Hospitals, Hotels, Schools, Universities & Large Commercial Property communities.
  • You have a dynamic personality, are self-motivated, and are very comfortable meeting new people both online and in person!
  • You possess excellent communication skills, have superb interpersonal skills, are highly organized and able to multitask!
  • You have extensive experience in commercial business development, marketing, or outside sales of water, fire, mold, contents, crime scene, carpet/floor cleaning or insurance reconstruction a plus!
  • You possess a dynamite track record of success in high volume commercial outside sales and high retention of relationships with decision makers.

REQUIREMENTS:

An ideal candidate for Business Developer with Tri State will have exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, creativity, emotional intelligence and strong critical thinking skills. You must be able to develop strong customer relationships and close sales effectively. You must also be looking to commit to a long-term career with a financially-solid, swiftly-growing and employee-friendly company.

Requirements for the Business Development position include:

  • Minimum 5 years sales experience
  • Relationship based sales background is a plus - we do not sell a product, we sell an emergency service and good relationships lead to steady sales.
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing concepts, positioning, sales planning, competitive analysis and relationship development
  • Working knowledge of common Customer Management Software platforms (CRMs)
  • Must be able to close.
  • Outside sales and/or customer service experience a plus
  • Must be self motivated to complete long sales cycles
  • Must possess working knowledge of social media and emerging technologies
  • Experience with attending and exhibiting at trade shows and large scale networking events
  • Easy-going, compassionate towards people, with outstanding customer service skills.
Responsibilities

As a Business Developer with Tri State Restorations, you will help develop, implement and evaluate our commercial service program. You will also help us develop outside sales action plans to grow our market share and success. We are headquartered in Clarksburg, MD.

Additional tasks of the Business Development position include:

  • Working with current and potential customers in set territory to sell the companies services through various channels and communication methods.
  • Developing and maintaining new relationships with commercial properties and key decision-makers
  • Close new business relationships and retain existing relationships
  • Assisting in the implementation of production, productivity, quality and customer service standards
  • Solving problems, identifying trends and assisting in determining new inroads for growth
  • Working with the company executive and staff to determine annual and gross profit plans by assisting in the forecasting and development of annual quotas for specific areas
  • Projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new opportunities

Additional responsibilities of the Business Development position include:

  • Assisting in new marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements.
  • Participate in regular conference calls and report weekly on sales metrics
  • Forecasting projected business.
  • Establishing targeted market share.
  • Staying very involved in the community through participation in specific trade associations.
  • Acting on revenue goals and contributing to new ones.
  • Taking the lead on setting up and creating relevant programs, classes, and events for our clients.
  • Assist in staff rotating on-call responsibilities
