Location: Old Trafford, Manchester
Salary: £36,500 base (£58,000 OTE)
Hours: Monday - Friday 8.45am - 5.15pm
As a Sales Account Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of around 175 clients in the UK market, ensuring long-term satisfaction, retention and revenue growth. You’ll be responsible for uncovering and closing additional revenue across your base, from upgrades to new product sales, while delivering outstanding service and building strong client relationships.
Beyond your own portfolio, you’ll also act as a point of escalation for commercial conversations and sensitive client matters across the wider team, supporting Account Managers in closing complex sales and navigating challenges. You’ll coach peers to improve their commercial awareness, contribute to team performance, and help embed a culture of growth and accountability across the UK Client Services function.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Proven experience in Account Management, Sales, or Client Success, ideally within a B2B environment
  • Demonstrable ability to grow accounts, hit targets, and manage escalations with professionalism and precision
  • Strong commercial mindset, you think strategically and act decisively to uncover and convert revenue opportunities
  • Experience coaching or mentoring peers and influencing wider team outcomes
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
  • Confident in leading on additional revenue sales conversations and negotiations including handling objections and overcoming resistance
  • Resilient, driven and results-orientated, with a passion for meeting targets and driving business growth
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-moving sales environment, balancing client needs with commercial priorities
Responsibilities
  • Manage a base of clients, ensuring strong relationships, consistent engagement and client satisfaction
  • Identify and convert upsell and cross-sell opportunities to drive additional revenue within your accounts
  • Act a senior point of escalation for complex client needs, providing swift and strategic support
  • Coach Account Managers to improve commercial performance and navigate challenging sales situations
  • Promote a revenue-focussed mindset across the team by sharing insights, strategies and success stories
  • Use client data and trends to inform retention and growth strategies within your portfolio
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and a unified client experience
  • Contribute to a high-performing team culture built on accountability, support and continuous improvement
  • Support the closing of additional revenue across the department, working with the Account Managers to secure opportunities beyond your own portfolio
