SUMMARY

The Account Manager position is primarily responsible for developing new and existing accounts in general machining, cylinder manufacturing, large diameter roll, honing and cylinder repair business. The Account Manager will quote, follow up, and close deals using the defined R J sales process. This position serves as the primary contact for our customers/prospects and is responsible for client satisfaction through the sales process. This position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service and leadership to R J accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS/PREFERED SKILLS

  • Minimum 5 years work related experience in machining and or fluid power products.
  • Sales/Account Development experience a plus.
  • Team focused.
  • Good communication skills – Verbal and Written

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Including the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Cleary understand and follow the R J Sales Process.
  • Responsible for selling our products and services.
  • Introduce the client/prospect to R J and our value proposition.
  • Develop customer and prospect relationships to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Responsible for all communications between R J and customers and prospects.
  • Work with Sales Manager to set and obtain realistic sales and profitability goals.
  • Collaborate with other Account Managers to help each other as required.
  • Work with management to evaluate pricing structure for different types of products and services.
  • Interact professionally and respectfully with all departments at R J.

ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Account Manager will be responsible for obtaining set goals defined with Sales Manager.
  • Required to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • In depth knowledge of all accounts.
  • Follow up with quotes and customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date sales pipeline.
  • Be proficient in Global Shop, and necessary items through the sales process.
  • Align the R J solution to the customers business needs, challenges, and technical requirements.
