ABOUT BRIGHT MINDS & RENERT CENTRE

The Renert Centre is a hub for educational support for students in Calgary and across Canada via Zoom. We are located in Northwest Calgary on the Renert School Campus.
Bright Minds is a program and is an after-school and weekend tutoring program specializing in Mathematics and English writing skills. We aim to help develop effective learners and creative thinkers for life. We run in-person classes in North West Calgary and online classes via Zoom. The Bright Minds program is unique and was developed by the founders of Renert School.The Renert Centre also offers online highschool math credit courses, online highschool math homework help sessions and Diploma exam preparation sessions for grade 12 students each semester. OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated Sales-centered administrator to join our team in growing our programs and serve our parent/student community during daily operations.

Qualifications:

  • A positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships with all members of our community including parents, students & staff.
  • Experience working in an office environment.
  • Experience in sales and an outgoing, proactive personality is an asset.
  • Possessing marketing skills and experience is ideal but not required.
  • Experience working with parents & children is ideal but not required.
  • A high degree of professionalism and courtesy.
  • Strong time management and organization skills with ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Attention to detail and optimizing efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication skills written and verbal.
  • Ability to learn quickly and are comfortable making decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with online office software (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Google Drive, Email, and Zoom are essential. Other comparable experience accepted.)
  • Excited about working in an education-centered environment with parents and students.
  • Able to troubleshoot, problem solve and adapt to changing needs.
  • Provide a current vulnerable sector police record check.

Duties:

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years sales, administrative support and customer service experience.
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday 7-8 hrs per day (start and end time negotiable)
  • Ability to fill in occasional evenings and weekends to cover evening staff.
  • Availability to work throughout the summer months during our peak period (August-September)

Responsibilities
  • Selling our program to new families inquiring about Renert Centre Programs by telephone, email or in-person, (training will be provided)
  • Tracking and following up on inquiries and tasks. Maintaining student files and databases.
  • Coordinating sales-related projects such as trade shows, community outreach and online marketing tasks.
  • Contributing ideas to support the growth and development of our program through new sales initiatives.
  • Effectively communicating with management.
  • In time, training will expand to include supporting our front-end administrative staff:
  • Completing the full enrolment process for new families.
  • Serving as a front-end administrator to assist currently registered families.
  • Preparing class materials for pick-up or courier.
  • Managing parent requests and responding appropriately.
  • Other duties may be assigned based on an individual’s skill set.
