JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Sales Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our sales department by managing administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sage, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. The purpose of this position is to meet or exceed customers’ expectations every day through the daily execution of work order processing, customer relationship building, customer communications and quoting.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a sales or office environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Sage is highly desirable.
  • Strong computer skills with familiarity in data entry processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills to enhance client interactions.
  • Experience with clerical duties such as filing, typing, and proofreading documents.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing support for Customer Technical Support Specialists and Customer Development Specialists with necessary information.
  • Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date records in our systems.
  • Assist with filing and organizing documents to ensure easy access to information.
  • Collaborates with Production, Shipping/Receiving to ensure customer orders flow smoothly from point of order through point of delivery.
  • Maintain customer support by addressing issues with a focus on resolution and satisfaction.
  • Build a high level of knowledge and understanding of Vulcan customers, Vulcan services, Vulcan production equipment, products machined, materials & parts inventory.
  • Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity before distribution.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the sales department.
