Job Summary: Responsible for increasing sales through the development of wholesale accounts and customer relations and in retail.
Reports to: Plant Foreman

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in an outside sales role is required, experience in the food industry is an asset.
  • Travelling is required. A valid G license and reliable access to a vehicle is required.
  • Post secondary degree and / or diploma in Business and / or Marketing is an asset.
  • A valid Food Handlers certificate is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Strong computer skills are required, google is an asset.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Able to handle confidential information.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is required.
Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES

  • Responsible for developing and following up on new business leads.
  • Acts as a brand ambassador, attending to all customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Acts as the main point of contact for new and existing wholesale customers.
  • Meets with customers and potential customers to discuss products and services.
  • Prepares virtual and in-person presentations for customers.
  • Conducts customer and market research.
  • Collaborates with production to meet customer needs.
  • Attends trade shows and participates in training and product meetings as necessary.
  • Executes marketing activities in the retail and wholesale divisions including but not limited to product tastings and merchandising.
  • Responsible for quality control, following Company standards and food safety regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • This position requires a significant amount of travel. This includes both cars, trains and planes.
  • Standing and sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
  • Bend and stoop to grasp objects.
  • Bend and twist the upper body, reach above and below shoulders.
  • Bend and lift loads, up to 40 pounds.
