SUMMARY:

The Sales Analyst for the Walmart Indoor Plants category partners with the Key Account Manager for the program to ensure excellent levels of in-stock replenishment, maximizing sales and profitability for both Altman Plants and Walmart. The role requires an in-depth knowledge of the metrics and workings of the Walmart system and understanding of the products, flow and logistics that impact internal order fulfillment and sales execution. Essential to the role is close collaboration with the Key Account Manager, Walmart Senior Business Analyst and many operational internal teams. Walmart’s Indoor Plants category currently includes cactus & succulents, foliage/houseplants, and landscape succulents.

BASIC / ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Experience working in the following areas:

  • Systems Experience including strong MS Excell skills

  • Ability and desire to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Comfort with navigating shifting customer expectations
Responsibilities
  • Develop a proficiency with Retail Link & Evolution
  • Attend weekly replenishment calls with WM Category Manager, with the intention of eventually leading these meetings
  • Manage all Store Item Combinations (SICs) including all PFR Modular items and traits
  • Assist in execution of Modular resets
  • Drive incremental sales where possible
  • Generate cost savings and analyze customer data around chargebacks and fines (SQEP)
  • Maximize store in-stocks by managing WM forecast data as it relates to Altman lead times for all growing/distribution sites
  • Write orders to meet customer expectation of 97% in-stock in all PFR items
  • Create PFS orders to drive sales while maintaining a favorable sell through rate
  • Attend all Supply/Demand/Transportation calls for relevant Altman sites
  • Working with all Altman distribution sites to improve transportation efficiencies
  • Monitoring intercompany transfers to ensure in-stocks aren’t affected by product availability
  • Assisting with production planning and hardgoods procurement
    The successful candidate will “learn the whole process” including interacting with all team members to resolve issues and present solutions to improve operational efficiencies, balancing customer’s in-stock expectation while still maintaining favorable sales metrics for Altman Plants.
