Description:
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SALES ANALYST:
As a key member of our Canada Sales team, you will be responsible for the collection, reporting and analysis of customer retail data supporting our Amazon Sales Team. You will be the team expert on the functional design and development of reporting tools to address requirements across our omnichannel business bringing to life top industry techniques for efficient flow of data and actionable analysis.
Reporting:
- Support the implementation of sales analytics tools and establish understanding of new metrics, context and action to drive share & sales growth opportunities.
- Learn about the needs of our customer and provide analytical solutions to solve business issues.
- Combine multiple data sets, determining the best approach and variables, drilling to the root cause through analysis and business knowledge.
- Gain an understanding of internal & industry reporting and how we can leverage data sets to gain understanding into our business and total Canada Hasbro business.
- Develop and maintain total and category level weekly reporting, in-stock reports, dive into item level profitability, forecast vs. trend analysis and other ad-hoc projects
- Initial new item placement and replenishment review and analysis
Retail Analytics:
- Analyze customer and consumer data and research to identify trends, key indicators, patterns, and insights.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to Amazon on patterns and relationships in data, along with recommendations and opportunities for revenue growth, new ideas, and creative solutions.
- Communicate analysis using comprehensive, easy to digest methods that will translate into impactful and actionable reports.
What You’ll Bring:
- 2-3 years as an Analyst in CPG. Experience working on the Amazon business is a plus.
- Experience working with high SKU counts (200+) highly preferred.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel – Power query, Power Pivot a plus
- Familiarity with scorecard, ad hoc forecasting, supply planning
- Experience extracting data from retail POS systems. Vendor Central experience a plus.
- Strong multitasking abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple deliverables simultaneously, under time constraints, with timely completion and delivering quality work.
- Proven ability to translate user needs into analysis design and translate data into insights and recommendations.
- Experience in automating processes and creating efficiencies in reporting, business planning & execution.
- Storyteller - good verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally and with the customer.
