The Global Gifting & Card team, which sits within Starbucks Digital organization, is charged with leading the physical and digital Starbucks gift card business and experiences globally. As a sales & account strategist, you will play a critical role in taking our Starbucks North America (US and Canada) B2B gift card business to the next level. You will define the current and future sales strategy of the Starbucks North America B2B gift card business, lead the overall targeting, planning, selling, and building of relationships with new and existing B2B customers, and identify net new opportunities to elevate and modernize our B2B business, processes, and systems. This role reports to the director, Global Gifting & Card and has two Key Account Managers as direct reports. As a sales and account strategist, North America Card & Gifting, you will Create and drive sales strategies and operational plans to grow the Starbucks North America B2B gift card business. You will be responsible for creating annual strategic and operational plans, drive short- and long-term strategy and execution through a mix of analytics, customer and competitive insights, and brand considerations Maluding annual and quarterly forecasting, and providing regular strategic, operational, and financial recommendations to achieve or exceed plan. You will also manage and evaluate account performance to identify variances and establish improved approaches to achieving sales and profitability goals Lead the innovation pipeline. You will develop and manage the B2B technology innovation pipeline and backlog to continuously optimize the B2B front-end and back-end experience. You will also lead B2B and business development opportunity assessments. Be the lead point-of-contact for existing and potential B2B relationships. You will own critical B2B customer relationships and identify new strategic relationships and opportunities, with the goal of forging long-term relationship growth with key accounts. You will also develop, present, and negotiate recommended offerings, ensuring standards of brand and profitability are achieved by third parties. Inspire and influence others around the potential for the B2B business. You will work cross-functionally to fully realize initiatives that create meaningful B2B customer experiences and positive business impact We'd love to hear from people with: Progressive experience in direct outside sales, 10+ years Key account sales management at executive and top management levels 8+ years Sales strategy experience 8+ years People leadership experience with a team of 2 or more 5+ years Experience negotiating complex sales agreements and contracts 5+ years Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships, 10+ years Superb communication and storytelling skills, including oral, written, and visual, adaptable for various audiences, especially at senior-level, 10+ years Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills; ability to research and synthesize various sources of information to develop a cohesive point of view and provide solutions, 10+ years Ability to navigate and influence upward, laterally and cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organization, a passion for people and a desire to help partners and the organization thrive, 8+ years Experience in business planning, financial forecasting, in-depth analytics, business case development and P&L management, 8+ years Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, LinkedIn, and Salesforce platforms, 8+ years MBA Strongly preferred As a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits.
