JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is an assistant to the sales & events team. The duties for this opportunity are as follows:

Sales Duties:

  • Prepare analysis, agendas, content, materials, and follow up documentation as appropriate to assist sales teams in exploring client needs during the course of the sales process
  • Primary contact for phone calls into the sales office. Answers the phone with warmth and a positive phone voice. Qualifies business and directs to the appropriate sales manager
  • Places individual reservations for the sales team for incoming groups and/or events
  • Manages group reservations including rooming lists and pickup reports
  • Talking with customers on the floor or phone
  • Assist in customer Service Issues
  • Assist sales and catering managers in following up after events to ensure client satisfaction and continued loyalty
  • Assists in special projects as requested by the Director of Sales

Event Duties:

  • Work hand-in-hand with the banquets team to execute large & small corporate, social and wedding functions
  • Main day-of contact for large dinner banquets and/or receptions
  • Full day-of coordination for all wedding groups contracting a guest count of 99 and under. Including, but not limited to, tabletop décor setup, managing event timelines, managing vendors, and managing overall guest satisfaction
  • Leading wedding rehearsals, ceremonies and grand entrances
  • Ensures proper resolution of all issues and guest opportunities as they arise on the day of an event
  • Ensure all in-house décor is setup as discussed with the client
  • Coordinate & execute all menu tastings for any social or wedding client prior to their event
  • Planning all small corporate events 40 people and under. Including all communication, event orders, diagrams, and resumes.
  • Attend all meetings to discuss event orders and resumes for each event planned and discuss all requirements with the team

Job Qualifications:
· The ability to multi-task and prioritize
· Organizational and decision-making skills
· Superior interpersonal skills; can work well in a small team environment
· The ability to meet tight deadlines
· The ability to keep your head in a high-pressure environment
· Excellent written and verbal skills a must.
· Experience with Delphi.fdc, Delphi Diagramming, and Microsoft Office a plus
· Associate’s degree preferred.
· Ability to lift up to 25lbs
· Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
· Must be available for flexible work schedule including evenings & weekend shifts
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
